Environmental policy
This environmental policy applies to all Planoven Partner-Clients, as well as to all other Planoven Partners, Ambassadors, employees, and contractors that work with us.
Last Modified: March 1, 2020
Planoven recognizes that the Projects we fund, have direct and indirect environmental impacts. To reduce these impacts, we are committed to developing and implementing environmental management systems under a framework that allows for their continuous improvement. As the framework is developing all Partner-Clients will be subject to compliance with it. However, we will not implement unreasonable measures and will maintain transparency so that all changes to the framework are democratic and balanced.
For Planoven, doing what the law expects us to do is not enough and legal compliance is merely our minimum standard.
1. Principles
Our environmental principles have been chosen, and are regularly reviewed, to ensure that our actions effectively implement our environmental policy; as of the date above, they are:
- To take significant environmental aspects and impacts into account for the AGC we provide;
- To consider that environmental issues are properly assessed and considered for each Partner-Client when key decisions are taken, including issues relating to supply chains, processes, distribution and logistics, new product development, due diligence, mergers, and acquisitions;
- To establish and measure the significant environmental impacts of Planoven’s internal operations, set targets for performance improvements and monitor progress against those targets in areas including but not limited to energy, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage/quality, and waste;
- To promote the efficient use of energy and natural resources, eliminating and minimizing waste, and re-using and recycling where practical;
- To make a real and meaningful contribution to mitigating climate change and global water scarcity, by considering the lifecycle perspective of the Projects we provide AGC to, including the products, raw materials, packaging, production, distribution, consumer use (reducing greenhouse gas emissions and water use for both production and use), and end of life recycling of Partner-Clients creating consumer products;
- To engage with our Partner-Clients, and where applicable their suppliers, customers and other stakeholders on environmental issues (including climate change, water management and waste impacts) relating to their products, their manufacture and the sustainability of their supply chains (via the Responsible Sourcing of Natural Raw Materials Policy and Human Rights and Responsible Business Policy and Standard);
- To conduct an annual review, including progress against targets, and to make that review available for input toward ongoing improvement.
